« Mobile Marketing Poised for Takeoff | Main | Top 5 Reasons Social Media Requires Commitment »

We are yet to see a retailer application take off, although Stylefeeder has done alright for itself as a social shopping app.

As a test, I invited 90 of my female friends to add the app. No one added it.

American Eagle's Aerie Kissing Booth was well done, though. It launched for Valentine's Day and it was aimed at the right market. Not sure how many active users it got or if there was any pay off.

One retailer "Page" that has a lot of traction is Victoria's Secret Pink - the page has goodies for its fans like wallpapers and polls. If you're going to have a page, it's gotta have a reason for people to visit it.

nice post adam. the question always comes up - how do you measure the roi of a facebook platform?

About a thousand cuts

  • "Death by a thousand cuts" is just a great expression, isn't it? Anyone who has been through a tough project has heard it before. I like to think of this blog as the opposite. Navigating through all those issues to achieve excellence is a passion of mine, along with being a dad to three amazing boys and all things Red Sox and Patriots. Thanks to Len Devanna for pushing me to start capturing my thoughts and Lee Cullivan for the banner photo. More about me here. Thanks for reading.
